One Room Challenge: Master Bedroom

Hey friends! I’m so excited to be taking on the One Room Challenge. For those of you that are not familiar, the One Room Challenge (ORC), is a design challenge that takes place over the course of six weeks. You can read more about it here. One room in six weeks. Typically, I follow the pattern of starting and not finishing ( bad habit…I know) but not this time folks! I’ll be posting right here each Thursday with an update on the makeover…accountability 😉).

I don’t know how things run in your household, but here at the Fletcher’s we always seem to focus our energy on the main living spaces. I’m about to change that up! For this challenge I am tackling our master bedroom. As far as the color palette goes, I’m leaning towards the dark side. I’m usually all for light and airy but this this time I’m feeling the moody vibes. Now let’s get to that makeover.

First things first — out with queen and in with the king. Since our bed was 1 out of 3 pieces of furniture in our room, I’m basically starting from scratch. Not a bad problem to have eh? I decided on a black wooden bed with a brass accent underneath. I am wanting to play with dark vs light. You may be seeing a dark wall, ceiling, or textures come into play — no promises here yet. But to give you a glimpse of my vision, I’ve added some “pinspiration” below, as well as my room in its current state, and links to what I’ve purchased already ( I got you girl)! Make sure to follow along on IG and check back next week to see whats new! I’ll be working with some of my favorite brands who want to hook you up with discounts and giveaways!
