Nothing like a challenge to light the get it done fire under my bum! I am honored and excited to be a guest participant of ‘The One Room Challenge’. You might be asking what is this One Room Challenge (we can start referring to it as ORC, k) you speak of…well it’s a community of design bloggers who take on the challenge to transform a space. Each week I will be sharing my progress along with inviting you to follow along the other participants. So, now that you get the gist, lets talk about the room I will be transforming.
Welcome to my entryway. I have talked about this space in the past but here we are and it’s still unfinished. But all that is about to change! Que the happy dance. The biggest obstacle when it comes to this space, is how large it is. I’m a lady on a budget so I will be sticking to affordable ways to finish this room. Hubs is gonna be happy!
This past weekend, I painted. Painting is such an affordable way to change up your space. I chose the color Mulberry Mauve by Glidden. Some words of advice — get you a man that lets you paint the walls pink! This project only took a few hours but boy did it transform big time. I went for a dramatic/monochromatic look and didn’t just stop at the walls. The doors and trim got a dose of Mulberry Mauve too! I added a white door tassel to be a lil extra (as if the walls weren’t extra enough).
