Tips For Great Family Photos

Family photos are the most timeless piece of artwork you can have in your home. I have received a ton of questions and comments about how to get the best family photos, so I wanted to share my tips on how to get that perfect shot.

A good photographer is a must. If you live in the Jacksonville area you HAVE to use Danny Cary. He is seriously amazing and pretty much the reason why our pictures are always so great. I owe it all to you dude! If you don’t live in Jacksonville do your research. I know you can find a great photographer. Their work will speak for itself.

Once you’ve locked in your photographer, find a good location. Make it somewhere you can get a variety of different shots. I like to bring props, such as a blanket, or furniture (don’t get too cheesy, less is more)!

Now we have all been victims of the white shirts and denim beach photos or in my husbands case denim on denim. Don’t fall into this trap! Your outfits need to compliment each other but not be all matchy matchy. I like to keep things soft and airy. This means cool tones and nothing too bold or trendy. You want the focus on your smiling faces, not the neon shorts that were in last season.

Lastly, relax and have fun! You want your pictures to reflect the real you! So, act natural and enjoy yourself!

I have linked below the outfits we wore. Along with some that are just too cute not to share. Do you have any tips? Comment below!
